Common Troubleshooting Of Reach Stackers

It is normal for a reach stacker to malfunction during use, but it does not mean that these problems are unavoidable. In order to ensure the normal operation of the reach stacker, the equipment should be inspected and maintained before use.
The following describes the troubleshooting methods for several common faults of the reach stacker:

1. The indicator light of the spreader is abnormal

There are usually three cases of abnormal display of the spreader indicator. One is that the spreader in-position indicator does not light up, the second is that the spreader indicator flashes red and green alternately, and the third is that the spreader in-position indicator flashes.
If the spreader in place indicator does not light up, it may be that the bulb is damaged. You should first check whether the bulb is damaged when troubleshooting. If the spreader in-position indicator flashes, it may be that the spreader in-position sensor is abnormal, usually because the distance of the in-position sensor is improperly adjusted, or the sensor is damaged. If the spreader indicator flashes red and green alternately, it may be that the rotary lock cylinder is not in place, causing the piston rod of the rotary lock cylinder to reciprocate when extending and retracting, causing the red and green lights to flash alternately.

2. The spreader rotates without movement or is too slow

The common cause of no movement of the spreader rotation is that the key on the output shaft of the spreader rotation motor is cut off, causing the rotation motor to “lost”, resulting in no movement of the spreader. If only one spreader rotation motor works, it will cause the spreader to rotate slowly.

3. The telescopic chain is broken

The reach stacker can lift 20-foot and 40-foot containers. When changing from lifting a 20-foot container to a 40-foot container, the horizontal telescopic boom needs to be extended, and its extension action is driven by the telescopic chain. If the tension of the telescopic chain is not adjusted properly, the telescopic chain may be broken.
When replacing the chain, follow the steps below: first remove the tubing and wires from the rail of the transverse telescopic boom; secondly, pull out the telescopic beam of the spreader transversely, remove the dead end of the chain, and take out the chain; again, cut according to the length of the break Connect the chain of the corresponding length; then, adjust the tension of the chain, tighten the chain and loosen 2 to 3 threads. When replacing the chain, do not stack the chains together, otherwise the chain may get stuck in the telescopic boom tube and deform, causing hidden troubles.
